Does my slow website really affect my results on mobile? YES.
Back in 2010, they confirmed slow web pages on a desktop will be downgraded in rankings vs competition/industry and is currently a factor in results. (Old News)

In July 2018, they will be activating “Speed Update” which means, if a user searches for anything and your page is slowly loading up on a mobile device, it will push your website even lower on results due to the lower speed times. Happy speeds= Happy searches.
